Toddler Vest Crochet Pattern from Adorkable Crochet
My latest crochet pattern is a vest which I designed for my daughter a long time ago because I could not find any super cute vest patterns online. I wanted one that had the triangle shape in the front. SoI finally finished the pattern a couple weeks ago and had a photo shoot with my adorable 2 year old daughter.

Portrait Photos
Not in the mood to type, mostly because my husband turned off the light so I can barely see the keyboard. So here are some photos I took today:

Modeling My Personal Scarves
I crocheted all these scarves for myself! None are for sale in my store. Some I might be able to re-create, other's I cant... all explained below... Anyway, I figured I'd model them all for you to show off a bit, haha! Enjoy my silly photos!
Okay, the story behind this one is... I was in London for school and I found this awesome yarn in some small store in the Cotswolds. It has pieces of tulle hanging from it! So I paired that with 2 strands of black and turquoise yarn, and this scarf was born. I have no idea what the tulle yarn was called or the brand. I tried doing a search on the internet and came up with nothing. So I can't ever make this again :(

I asked Ginny from fatcatknits.etsy.com to custom make me this hand dyed merino wool yarn just so I could make myself this scarf! It's 2 different yarns, alternated. I am in love with it and finished it just in time for my Christmas vacation to Oregon. Where we had a blizzard. So it came in handy!
This scarf is actually about 6 years old! It was right when I discovered this really soft yarn, and So I made myself this scarf and a matching hat (Don't ask me where the hat went... I have no idea!)
I bought the owl crochet pattern online, and immediately crocheted it! So cute!! I stuck it on a scarf, and tied on a bunch of pieces onto the scarf at random places. You can't see that in the photo, but they are there. It's a messy, cute kind of scarf. Too bad I am not allowed to sell stuff with the owl on it, so sorry!
I made this scarf in London, too. I wanted to do a really random scarf, so I changed colors in the middle of rows, sometimes I used 2 colors at a time... very interesting! I love it!!
Haha, you can't see much of the scarf, but this picture is so funny, I had to use it!
Okay, the end. Hope everyone enjoyed seeing me pose silly, wearing my awesome scarves :)

A New Love...

Aside from my hubby, my baby, and crocheting, I now love SWAPS! Trading of any kind. The world of trading was brought to my attention by MOONSTITCHES. Her blog is amazing, by the way. Anyway, she has a link on there about BackTack, which is a really awesome swap. Go there to see what it's all about, sign ups are going on right now and end on Oct 4th.
So after seeing that, I thought to myself, "There's got to be other trading places out there!" So I searched Google and found Swap-bot. There's all sorts of trades going on there! It's going to be a lot of fun. I am sending a Whimsey Jar to someone in England, and a Journal to a girl in Austrailia. I love other countries...

ALSO... I got yarn in the mail yesterday! I love getting yarn in the mail, it's so exciting! I had ordered this awesome yarn from Bare Sheep Yarn, so of course I started crocheting as soon as it got here. I finished the shawl, and the neck warmer just needs a button..

I'm expecting more yarn this week, too. I'll let you know when it gets here!!

Fingerless Glove Frenzy!
Wow, I've been so obsessed with making fingerless gloves lately!! I made up all the patterns myself, too. I don't know why it's so easy for me to make up patterns for them... It just happens ;) Here's some that I have made recently:

Yes! I can finally model my stuff, now! Lol. I had a baby 7 months ago and just recently felt up to modeling, haha. So if my sister or her friends can't come model for me, I can just set up my tripod and do it myself. Very convenient.
It was my birthday yesterday and my Mother-in-law watched our son, while my hubby took me out to Red Lobster! This is a special treat because my husband hates sea food. Don't ask me how that is possible ;) After that we did some clothes shopping for me, but we ended up also buying a few things for our son. Aaawwww.

My Favorite Yarn!
There are a lot of people who sell hand dyed, hand spun, and recycled yarn on Etsy. Here are some of my favorites:
FatCatKnits. She is so sweet, and she's also made me custom dyed yarn before, too. Here is something I made from her yarn:

dkKnits. Her Special Occasion yarn is gorgeous!! I made this with her yarn:

Crazy Monkey Creations. Such soft and bright, happy yarn! With her yarn, I created this:

Mystifibers and Awesome Yarn. She sent me a bunch of Banana Silk yarn because I made her a shop banner! She is soooo nice, and you will love her! Her yarn is gorgeous! I made this wrap with it:

So go check out these incredible yarn seller's stores!!

My plans for Christmas
I know that a lot of people make holiday items and sell them in their Etsy shops, but I am just not going to do it. If it doesn't sell, you're sitting there with all these christmas items for an entire year. So I'm just going to make a lot of stuff this year, but not holiday themed. My store will be filled with great gifts, though! I feel like if you buy someone a christmas scarf, they can really only wear it for a short time. No fun. Maybe winter themed is a better idea. Like snowflakes or something. Thats not directly related to Christmas. Yay, brainstorming while I write. lol.Anyway, last year I made this awesome black scarf with a skull on each end. I actually made 2, one for each of my nephews who live in Oregon. They were a big hit!! So I'm thinking of making more of these and selling them in my store.
I have another skull pattern that I use for more girly scarves. I actually sell the pattern on my Etsy site.I'm hoping to get more of the girly ones made, because I keep selling them. With good reason, they are awesome. lol.
